Description

Whether you are a stamp collector (philatelist), romantic, or simply love a good story, this chair ignites the imagination.  Hundreds of vintage stamps cling to the back of this warm-toned antique folding chair. Combined with the handmade "envelope" pillow, the chair evokes a sense of nostalgia of bygone times. It is a classic with a rich history that would enhance any room!

ARTIST STATEMENT/INFLUENCE:
I loved the look of the chair and the old feel of it. I did not want to lose that when doing the chair. I could not bring myself to paint it, it is a piece of artwork by itself. I have my great grandmother's collection of stamps and thought they would be perfect to go with the chair. I think of all of the people who had sat in that chair reading all the letters from friends and loved ones and the comfort it brought to the reader.

ADDITIONAL:  Handmade Fabric " Envelope Pillow"
