Whether a supporter of the Elephant Freedom Project or a lover of all animals, this magnificent chair reveals the majesty of this wonderful creature! Like its human friends, the elephant nurtures  strong family ties, is playful and is capable of feeling emotions, even grief.  The chair is a strong reminder of courage and strength!

ARTIST STATEMENT/INFLUENCE: 

Student at the School of the Arts

School of the Arts (SOTA) is a Rochester City School District secondary school located in the heart of Rochester’s Cultural District. SOTA serves students in grades 7-12. Students at the School of the Arts carry a full academic course load in addition to a rigorous fine arts sequence.  Students that participated in the “Take A Seat, Make A Difference” Friendship Chair Project all did so to use their talent to help provide a “hand up” to other city school students and their families.
