MATTHEW TYNAN is a transactional attorney specializing in the preparation and negotiation of intellectual property and corporate agreements and the protection of client copyrights and trademarks. Areas of focus include film, television, publishing, fine art, photography and new media.

Mr. Tynan has been a featured speaker on numerous CLE panels and is a guest lecturer at the School of Visual Arts. He is a contributor to the book The Pocket Lawyer for Comic Book Creators (Focal Press). Mr. Tynan served as Secretary of the Entertainment Law Committee of the NYC Bar Association from 2016 to 2019. Publications include: Misblurb Marketing in Film and Publishing in the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal.

Mr. Tynan earned his J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2012. Prior to law school, he worked in film production and development, and received his undergraduate degree from Oxford University.
