This stein appears old but age is unknown. The entire stein is stone colored, including the raised continuous scene. Looks like possibly the hole for a prior lid was patched by someone at one point in time. The continuous scene is of a forest with lots of trees, a deer, ducks overhead in the sky, a man sitting on an embankment with another gentleman resting holding a book and a rifle. There are two hairline cracks that go in and out of the stein. See photo. This looks like it was cast in sections, based on the line down the scene.  0.5 L is stamped on the upper rim. There is some wear to the stone color from use over the years.

The bottom is stamped Germany. The stein stands 5" tall, the opening at the top is 3", and base is 3 3/4".
