Description
There is no lid on this 6 3/4" tall stein. It has intricate raised detailing in brown, tan, and dark green. One panel has a statute of a man with a lion in front of a Roman-style compound with the word Bavaria underneath. The middle scene is of a villager holding a book and a stein surrounded with clusters of grapes and grape leaves. Along the bottom of this scene is a German saying. The last scene is of a village in the background with a fountain and courtyard in the foreground. Beneath is the word Hofbrauhaus. The opening at the top is 2 3/4" and the base diameter is 3 1/2".
In addition to no lid, this stein has a small hairline crack on top of the handle which follows the line of the handle. See photos for details. There is a small indentation on the handle itself, which appears to have been done at the time of making. Otherwise, this stein is in good condition.
