Description

Have you been thinking about a renovation or addition to your home? Unsure how to get started? Design Associates, an award winning Cambridge architecture firm is offering two hours of consultation with a firm principle, a value of $300. Meet with Patrick Guthrie, Principle, at your house and develop concepts to help start you on your way to realizing that dream you have for your home.

Patrick Guthrie is a registered architect with licenses in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In his two and a half decades of professional practice he has worked with the National Park Service, the Massachusetts Historical Commission and private sector architecture firms on myriad historic residential, religious, commercial and public projects, several of which are National Historic Landmarks. He understands the particular challenges represented by sensitively modifying older buildings to meet the needs of modern users, including those with physical disabilities. His work has been recognized by the Massachusetts Historical Commission and the Massachusetts Architectural Access Board.

Patrick’s passion for the built environment extends beyond his work life. He has been on the board of the New England Chapter of Architectural Historians since 1996, the Arlington Historical Commission since 2005 and the Arlington Preservation Fund since 2008 where he was named President in 2015. He is a director of the Association for Preservation Technology, Northeast Chapter, and serves on the Facilities Committee of the Arlington Center for the Arts.

Design Associates loves history and historic homes and is pleased to be a donor to the Cyrus Dallin Art Museum Summer Soiree 2018.
