m. lande designs began right at home in newport beach, california. a mother of three turned a fun passion for sewing and textile gathering into a business of selling makeup bags and clutches. marisa spends her free time collecting antiques, mostly fabrics, with her friends and family members. she prides her searches on finding items that have never been seen before and hopefully never to be seen again. marisa started out making pillows for her home and needed to find use for all the leftover material. she whipped together a bag just to see the result and immediately went on a search for the perfect zipper and natural liner. she has always had a love for leather goods so she quickly figured out a way to incorporate the material into her work. thus the bags came to be!

marisa continues to make each and every bag herself, by hand. all fabric bags have a vintage textile exterior with a natural linen/ cotton blend interior. the zippers are a gold metallic color with brass metal teeth. each leather bag is made of natural lambskin exterior with a unique vintage scarf lined interior. marisa tries to find material that will never be seen again, which doesn't allow for re-order but provides each customer with the one of a kind accessory.
