After spending his first season with the Nationals as a starting pitcher, Patrick Corbin entered Game 7 in relief of Max Scherzer, pitching three scoreless innings including three strikeouts, earning the win, and clinching the Nationals first-ever World Series title. Corbin’s solid 2019 season also garnered him the Warren Spahn Award, given annually by the Oklahoma Sports Museum to the top left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball.
