Item description: 8” x 8”. Acrylic paint. Artist Caroline Latour, age 14, who suffers from a cavernous malformation, painted this the day she was hoping to get discharged from the hospital but wasn’t so she was sad. So her art from that day reflects sadness but an effort to keep her spirits up, as she painted a smile to cheer herself up.
